WHAT: The House Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest), will hold a public hearing to learn more about efforts to attract large businesses to southeastern Pennsylvania. Among the issues to be discussed will include challenges to attract business and industry to this region of the state, along with suggestions for improvement.

WHO: Oberlander and members of the Policy Committee. Those scheduled to testify will include representatives from the following organizations and businesses: John Grady, President, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation, David Taylor, President and CEO, Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association, Matt Cabrey, Executive Director, Select Greater Philadelphia and John Alwine, Client Management Director, Unisys Corporation.

WHEN: Friday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m.

WHERE: Room 202 (Mayor’s Reception Room), City Hall, 1400 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Philadelphia.
