House Speaker Joins Sheetz for Opening of First Convenience Store Wine Sale in PA

Speaker Turzai’s legislation enhances consumer convenience, including the sale of wine by the private sector

WHAT: House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) will join Louie Sheetz, Sheetz Board Director, for the first wine sale from a convenience store in Pennsylvania. The wine sale privatization is part of Act 39, the Adult Beverage Convenience and Wine Privatization Act sponsored by Speaker Turzai.

WHO: Turzai; Louie Sheetz; Tim Holden, chairman, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board; House Liquor Committee Chairman Adam Harris (R-Franklin/Mifflin/Juniata); and local lawmakers.

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m.
