House Committee to Learn More About Retroactive Denial of Insurance Claims

WHAT: The House Insurance Committee, led by Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) will hold an informational meeting to learn more about House Bill 1178, legislation to limit the retroactive denial of medical claim reimbursement to12 months.

WHO: Pickett and members of the Insurance Committee, along with Rep. Stephen Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), author of House Bill 1178. The speakers will appear in two panels. The Medical Panel will include representatives from Fresenius Medical Care, Pennsylvania Chiropractors Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Oral and Maxilofacial Surgeons, and the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society; and the Health Insurer Panel will include officials from Capital Blue Cross, Highmark, Independence Blue Cross and the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania.
