HARRISBURG – House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) Monday issued the following statement on the YES Waterpower Project at Cuffs Run:
“While I am in complete support of energy growth utilizing an ‘all of the above’ strategy, it is clear the YES Waterpower Project at Cuffs Run will have a detrimental impact on struggling family farms, residential areas and decades of recreational development investment.
“Pennsylvania is a big enough state where we can find the appropriate balance between needed energy development and unnecessary local impacts. Unfortunately, the YES Waterpower Project at Cuffs Run does not meet that test.”
The YES Waterpower Project at Cuffs Run is now in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) 60-day public comment window, which runs through March 31, 2024.
