WHAT: Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin), chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee, together with Rep. Martina White (R-Philadelphia), will host the last of nine hearings in the committee’s statewide business and jobs tour to discuss Pennsylvania’s economy and business climate with employers across Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia-area business owners and statewide business associations will provide testimony to the committee on how to improve the state’s competitiveness, the impact of taxes and regulations on business, the preparedness of Pennsylvania graduates to fill in-demand jobs, and how to attract new business and jobs to the region.
WHO: Benninghoff and White will be joined by several House members from across the state. Testifiers will include representatives from the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, National Federation of Independent Business, and Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association, as well as local employers Nooter Construction, Pennsylvania Credit Union and Holt’s Cigar Company.
