WHAT: Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin), chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee, together with Rep. George Dunbar (R-Westmoreland), deputy chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee, will host a hearing to discuss Pennsylvania’s economy and business climate as part of a statewide jobs tour.

Local business owners and statewide business associations will provide testimony to the committee on how to improve the state’s competitiveness, the burden of taxes and regulations, the preparedness of Pennsylvania graduates to fill in-demand jobs and how to attract new business and jobs to the region.

WHO: Benninghoff and Dunbar will be joined by several House members from across the state. Testifiers will include representatives from the Tax Foundation, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, National Federation of Independent Business, and Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association, as well as local employers Westmoreland County Community College, T.P. Electric Inc., and Schramm Farms and Orchards.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
