HARRISBURG – Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) today announced that
House Bill 863, which would designate a bridge in Centre County as the Bellefonte Veterans Bridge, passed the House unanimously.
The bridge to be designated is located on State Route 3006 in Bellefonte Borough, and runs over Spring Creek.
“Centre County has a great legacy of residents who have served in every major United States military conflict, beginning with the Revolutionary War,” Benninghoff said. “It is my hope that as motorists and pedestrians travel across Spring Creek, they will be reminded of the sacrifices of their neighbors who served and are currently serving in the armed forces.”
The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration. House Bill 863 was introduced by Benninghoff at the beginning of the 2015-16 legislative session.
