HARRISSBURG – Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne) today announced her recent appointment by House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) to serve as the chairman of two House subcommittees during the 2015-16 legislative session.
Toohil will serve as chairman of the Health Facilities Subcommittee under the Health Committee. She will also serve as chairman of the Counties Subcommittee under the Local Government Committee.
“I am honored to have been chosen by Speaker Turzai to serve in a leadership capacity with these two subcommittees,” said Toohil. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on related legislation.”
In addition to serving on the Health and Local Government committees, Toohil is also a member of the Children and Youth, and Judiciary committees during the 2015-16 legislative session.
