House Passes Regan Legislation Involving Fleeing a Police Officer on Foot

HARRISBURG – Legislation that would correct a loophole in the law dealing with instances of individuals fleeing from a police officer was passed by the House today, according to the author, Rep. Mike Regan (R-York/Cumberland). Current law does not address situations in which a person is pulled over and then flees on foot.

House Committee to Examine Hunting and Fishing License Fee Increases

WHAT: The House Game and Fisheries Committee will hold a public hearing to examine increasing the cost of hunting and fishing licenses in Pennsylvania. In recently submitting their annual reports, both the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) expressed a need to raise the price of licenses.

Nelson Sworn in as New State Representative for the 57th Legislative District

Marshall Commends Agreement between Community Colleges, State Universities

HARRISBURG — On Wednesday, the state’s 14 community colleges and the 14 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education universities signed a statewide reverse transfer agreement that will allow students who have earned at least 60 total credits to apply for an associate’s degree from the community college where they began their studies, even as they continue working toward a bachelor’s degree or other certification or credential at a state system university.

Kaufer to Co-Chair PA-HOPE, Anti-Addiction Caucus
